The Canadian Intellectual Property Office was considering the opportunity of offering a pre-examination service for international patent requests. The first stage of this study was the preparation of a profile of users of existing European pre-examination services. Circum Network was responsible for the preparation of a comparative profile of Canadian and international requests and for the construction of a list of Canadian requesters. This assignment was heavily oriented toward data base management.
