The Canadian Census under attack!

The Conservative Government of Canada is moving to eliminate the mandatory nature of the Canada census long form questionnaire. For decades, the long form was sent to 20% of Canadian households. It has been a critical source of information about Canadians, in particular Canadians from underpowered groups. It is an essential source of information for research in general, for business planning, for public policy development and for program evaluation.
