National Register of Electors Data Quality Confirmation Study

Since 1997, Canada has maintained a National Register of Electors that is used to produce lists of electors for federal elections and referendums. To evaluate the quality of the data in the Register, Elections Canada has contracted Circum Network Inc., assisted by Malatest and Associates Ltd. and Echo Sondage Inc., to conduct a data confirmation study. A sample of names was selected at random from the Register for participation in this study. While participation is voluntary, it would be very helpful in producing meaningful results.

If you have received a letter of invitation, please go to the Web address http://circum.com/ec and use the access code indicated in the top right-hand corner of the letter to access the questionnaire no later than June 28, 2006.

The results will be used solely for the purposes of measuring and updating the accuracy of the information. The privacy of all information in the National Register of Electors is protected by the Canada Elections Act and the Privacy Act.
