Canadian Journal of Program Evaluation: a database

The Canadian Evaluation Society (CES) publishes the Canadian Journal of Program Evaluation since 1986. The Journal seeks to promote the theory and practice of program evaluation in Canada by publishing:

• articles on all aspects of the theory and practice of evaluation, including methodology, evaluation standards, implementation of evaluations, reporting and use of studies, and the audit or metaevaluation of evaluation;
• research and Practice Notes that provide practical examples of the applications of particular methodologies or procedures within the context of a particuar study or group of studies;
• Book Reviews of relevance to the practice in Canada.

The CES now maintains a data base of the abstracts of the articles published in the Journal. With some 225 articles cited in it, this data base is a significant resource for evaluators and social scientists. Articles may be listed by journal issues or authors and the data base may be searched by keywords in the titles, English and French abstracts and author lists.
