Web surveying means mass e-mailing

The Web is used more and more frequently for survey data collection. Whereas Web surveying may be a questionable solution for surveys of the public, it is sometimes the best avenue to reach certain target populations (the 2001 PMRS conference will address these issues). Members of the sample must be invited to access the questionnaire. This is usually done through e-mail invitations; therefore, hundreds or thousands of concurrent, personalized e-mail messages must be sent. After a careful analysis of several software solutions, we chose Mail Master as our tool for mass e-mailing. Its small price and solid functions (including e-mail-merge) make it a winning combination in support of Web surveying.
